Autobond continues US sales success

UK laminator manufacturer Autobond has continued its run of providing machinery to the east coast of America.

The Derby-based company’s US subsidiary is headquartered in New Jersey and the surrounding area is a hot-spot for sales.

Autobond’s latest sale to the area, a thermal laminator, was sold to the appropriately titled East Coast Finishing.

The Compact 105 THS replaces two previous laminating machines and is equipped with a Heidelberg Speedmaster 102 feed head and stacker.

Ron Stagnari, whose father founded East Coast Finishing in 1963, said the company had operated the other two laminators for many years, but found them unsatisfactory.

He said: “Their output was restricted by the speed of the flying knife and the after-sales care from the manufacturer was inconsistent to say the least. The Compact 105 has proved to be so efficient that we can handle all our laminating on it, which means that we have freed one operator to perform other tasks.”

“Our runs are anything from 2,500 to 40,000 and the ability to change jobs very quickly and then laminate at up to 61m per minute makes the Compact 105 extremely effective.”
