EskoArtwork has lauded the successful launch of version 9.0 of its ArtPro packaging pre-press software, claiming that it is further evidence of the synergy between Esko and Artwork Systems.

The Gent, Belgium-based pre-media giant announced last week that that around 75% of ArtPro 8.0 users had upgraded to ArtPro 9.0 within a week of its official launch.

Carsten Knudsen, president and chief executive of EskoArtwork, said: "One of our key objectives following the acquisition of Artwork Systems by Esko was to leverage the synergies of the respective products through increased integration.

"ArtPro 9.0 is a perfect example of the synergy that we saw between the two companies. ArtPro 9.0 is now integrated with mature EskoArtwork workflow solutions, including Nexus, Odystar and BackStage."

EskoArtwork said ArtPro 9.0 could reduce processing time, waste and errors, thanks to its ability to exchange PDF production assets with other EskoArtwork applications without the need for conversion.
