DirectSmile heads into 'cross-media' content with online version

Print personalisation software DirectSmile has launched an online edition, giving users the chance to personalise campaigns for web use.

The new release from the German software house will let customers produce a range of personalisation options on animations and websites.

According to its creator, DirectSmile Online will be included in version 3.2 of its full software package, which has become one of the top choices for digital printers and direct mail houses in particular.

DirectSmile sales director Alex Marciniak said: “Once you start with image personalistion in print, bringing it online is simply the logical next step.”

The launch is the latest move in the integration of print and online software for creating ‘cross-media’ content. Both Quark’s recently launched Designer and Adobe’s Creative Suite 3 directly target the cross-media market.
